My parents and I visited Llama Lland and had a wonderful time. We were told about the llamas and then we each got to choose which llama we would like to take out on the trek. Tom was very friendly and welcoming and took time to talk with each of us during the trek. We visited different parts of the farm and the walk felt very relaxed. Afterwards we enjoyed lunch in the garden (along with Tom’s dog who was very friendly). We learnt a lot and all agreed we had had an excellent time. We would thoroughly recommend visiting!

We were sceptical about the value for money of Llama Lland but we had a thoroughly fun day out. Tom was a fantastic host and very knowledgeable about the Llamas. All the children in our party, ranging from 4 to 17 years old, had a great time. The lunch afterwards was lovely. We would definitely go again. Thanks Tom from Croydon!

Just had a lovely morning at llama land. The llamas were very friendly and so were the owners. Beautiful setting on a working farm, with lovely countryside views. Would recommend to anyone.

We enjoyed a very lovely morning with Tom and seven of his llamas. It was very interesting to learn about them – where they came from, their natures etc. They are such characters – they really made us laugh. I had wanted to find something we could all enjoy as a family- with an age range of 50s, 40s, 20s, 12 and 9 – something of a challenge. But the day turned out to be fun for everyone.

Lovely countryside, lovely tea and scones, I would definitely recommend it.

My partner found out about this experience and booked it as a surprise for me for when we came on holiday to Cornwall in July. Our Host Tom met us in the car park and took us to be introduced to the llamas and we could choose which we wanted to take out. I took Merlin. We were a small group of three people and were taken for a walk lasting about an hour and a half around the farm and surrounding woodland. The llamas were very well behaved on the leads and Tom told us a lot about them. Tom served refreshments of hot or cold drinks, cream scones and cake which were delicious. We met his delightful dogs and tortoises too. Afterwards, we went down to the fields and he showed us more llamas. In all we were there about three and a half hours. Tom was funny, informative and we had a great time. I will definitely come back if in the area.

My daughter booked our visit to Llama Lland as a birthday present for me as I adore llamas, and it was the best present ever! Tom is a very kind and welcoming host and his knowledge of llamas is fascinating. The llamas are well cared for, gentle and inquisitive creatures. On arrival Tom brought a group of llamas in from the field and invited us to choose the ones we wanted to walk with. We chose the majestically beautiful Merlin, Sir Lancelot, Piper and Apache and set off in the sunshine for a trek around Tom’s farm. It is such a restful experience walking with a llama, they are great company and it is amusing to discover their individual character traits.

After a most enjoyable walk, we returned to the farm where Tom served us with an excellent cream tea in the garden before setting off, via the tortoises, to stand amongst the cloud of llamas in their field and hear more absorbing stories about the individual animals.

If you are looking for the ‘theme park’ experience with playgrounds and gift shops etc, this is probably not for you. If you are looking for a peaceful walk in the beautiful Cornish countryside in the company of these magnificent animals and a host who can tell you everything you could ever want to know about llamas, you will not be disappointed. I was enthralled and was very sorry when it was time to leave, but I will definitely return on a future visit to Cornwall!

Had an amazing visit to Llama Lland this week, not only was is a great experience to walk with the llamas and go on a lovely little trek around the countryside but Tom was absolutely brilliant. I learned a lot and did not stop grinning the entire day. The atmosphere was perfect and I enjoyed every moment – would highly recommend. My friend arranged a visit with Llama Tom for four of us as part of our girly weekend – and so glad she did! We arrived and were introduced to a variety of llama’s – Tom was very patient with us through the walk and answered the multitude of questions we had about the llama’s! We then stopped for an excellent cream tea, before getting a tour of the farm. We absolutely loved the experience, seeing how well cared for the llamas were, and how appreciated their personalities were. Would recommend this experience to anyone looking to book something whilst they’re in the Cornwall area – Tom was an absolute star and we’d definitely go back again.

Lovely peaceful day in beautiful rural farmland, and such a treat to walk the llamas. Learned lots of interesting facts about them. Definitely recommend if you want something a bit different and you like animals. Great for the children too. my 11-year-old loved leading her ‘own’

llama round!

Whilst holidaying in Cornwall we decided to pay a visit to Llama Land. We booked in advance – emailed Tom who replied very promptly, to arrange a date and time that is convenient as Llama Land is part of a working farm. Upon arrival Tom greeted us warmly and we were then introduced to a selection of llamas, so we could pick which llama we wanted to walk with. Tom is very, very knowledgeable about llamas and shared this with us in a friendly and informal way. We then walked the llamas around the lovely countryside comprising Penare Farm and Tom talked us through points of interest as well as different aspects of his farm. After walking for about 90 minutes, we were then treated to a delicious cream tea in Tom’s garden, being joined by both Bobby and Danny (Tom’s dogs). We then headed off to see more of the llamas around the farm including mothers and babies. All in all, it was a lovely visit – even our hard to please teenagers enjoyed themselves! If you are looking for a theme park experience, this may not be for you. For those that appreciate seeing animals in a natural environment treat yourself by arranging a visit to Llama Lland.

I had wanted to try llama trekking for a while and found Llama Lland when searching for activities on a recent trip to Cornwall. It was the best activity I have done in ages! We were introduced to the llamas and then went on a walk with the llamas. This was followed by tea and cake in the farm garden and then we got to see all other the other llamas including baby llamas. Tom was lovely and was very informative. The thing that really made the experience was that it was not a tourist attraction with a gift shop etc. Which is what some of the reviewers have not looked past but a working farm where you could tell the animals were well looked after and the owners had a real interest in the llamas. We got some amazing pictures with the llamas!
