We first introduced Llamas onto Penare Farm in 2001 to help control our scrub areas and to protect our sheep from foxes. However, as the family’s love for the animals grew, so did our cloud of Llamas. Through the years many Llamas have been born and raised on Llama Lland, with a large number being sold as pets. Each Llama has its own individual personality and these warm and friendly animals capture the hearts of everyone who meets them.

Solar panels came to the farm in 2014. It’s been a great success in providing renewable energy as well as guaranteeing the future of the sheep on the farm, who maintain the area. The sheep love it as they have shelter from the rain and shade from the sun.
